It'll be totally interesting to see how you interpret the next record,,, i think you'd just assume it was a completely different band in a completely different genre,,, maybe that's how people should approach new eras ... for example,, there's definitely still people who like the 'original' Grails 'sound' before that band 'changed'... and I only listen to the first 2 King Crimson records cuz, to me, that's a 'different band'.... although it can reek of the brain's limiting obsessions with sometimes arbitrary over-catagorizations,, none of this stuff bothers me at all-- ...what I mean is,, if I was Jerry Lee Lewis and I married my 13 year old cousin and then watched my entire career dissolve,, maybe then I'd be bummed,,, but I didn't do that... 10-4

I heard that Om was considering experimenting with dub type stuff, any truth to this?

I'm more of a late adopter. In fact, an even worse admission than yours Lee: I went to see Grails, in Brattleboro, Vt, opening for OM, and I left after Grails. Didn't see a second of OM play. This was in support of Pilgrimage. In fairness, though: It is a 5.5 or 6 hr drive back to Montreal, and I didn't want to spring for a hotel.
I now have most of their stuff (barring Gebel Barkal, splits and Live in Jerusalem) and spin the last couple of albums fairly often.

So... are there any news about the upcoming album? Release date, title, ...? I just saw that Om is confirmed for a show in April over here. Stoked!

I think I saw a March release date somewhere. Drag City? I've got a ticket to the OM show here and hope to pick up the album then, if not before.

July 24th, right?

Artwork is rad. How many songs? Anything special about the vinyl version?

Rob involved much?
