you are free to reject this past-time,,, but!,, 'twas the past-time of many great peoples who have long since passed...

Dr.Hermann (still among us) lives in Stuggart, Germany where one of the better record stores around is called 'Second Hand Records' ...the last time I was over there I got:

...this goes for $75 now,, think I've listened to it once,,, ponderous/academic/"deep"

....weird German/hippie sonic simulations of enlightenment = pretentious//actually pretty good?

...mint condition w/7"single included.... (need to get rid of this!,, not bad for early Moog music, but I own too much shit)

...kewl Buffalo-Springfield-esque Japanese band from '72-ish!

and

...German edition,,...know this so well I don't need to play it...

...where are the best locations in yr city to find killer records??/... what odd finds have you found there?? ...YEAH! 10-4

Second Hand Records moved their store to a bigger location (now they have about 1000 square feet more) and it's more well-arranged now. I love shopping for records there, you can always find something. There's also another store here called "Ratzer Records" where the selection is not that big. However, it's always fun to be there, since the owner is the biggest attraction of the store. He's been there since the 80's and has got some stories to tell.

Anyway, I've got a box here full of used records from my girlfriends father who wanted to get rid of them. There are some gems there (some Brain! records old Genesis, ..) but I have not yet found the time to listen to all of them properly.

I can post a list if someone's interested.

oh yeah.. i forgot. I'm pretty fond of these records on vinyl that I own:

Got this for about 8€ from a German mailorder that specializes in Hip Hop, as far as I know. Pretty lucky, I guess, since only 80 of these were pressed.

I also found a copy of Neil Young's "Everybody knows.." on vinyl in the box mentioned above. Don't know if this particular edition (German, Warner Bros. 1973) is rare or not.

those look good Ralph!... I loved Second Hand Records so much that I'd pay you a cut if you went shopping for us there at some point,,, all you'd have to do is peruse that vintage electronic LP section they used to have downstairs and you'd come up with gold fer sure... but would you do me a favor and ask them next time yr there if they have a "Library Music" Section cuz I'll buy the whole thing up my friend!,, I know they won't have these but here are the records I'm having trouble finding lately:

"Hot Wax"....this record is EXPENSIVE,....

and this is why:

I'll find this one soon but it has eluded me:
