Don't mean to bump an old topic, but I was trying to hunt down to see if anyone had chords/tabs for Holy Sons songs. Found this and decided to try my hand. Spent yesterday or so getting this far on More Therapy from Decline of the West.

Thought I post what I'd have so far to see if anyone wants to jump in. I plan to get as far as I can into the catalog.
Code:
-More Therapy-

(After the intro when vocals hit)

                                           |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr)|
                                           |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr)|
                                           |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr) C (8fr)|
                                           |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr) C (8fr)|

Sometimes when Im lonely i'll do anything I can             |C   walk to|
to get the blood pumping in my veins again                  |D# A#sus2 | slide Csus2|

Avert my eyes                                          |A#|
you know where I've been                               |Csus4|

Just creeping way down low                                     ?
Where nobody else goes                                          ?
And no one came back to life                                   ?

Feels just like your losing your mind |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr)|
                                      |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr)|
Feels just like your losing your mind |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr) C (8fr)|
                                      |A#m (6fr)|Fm7(1fr)|Cm(8fr) C (8fr)|

Sometimes when Im lonely i'll do anything I can    |C (8fr)|
to get the blood pumping in my veins again           |A#sus4 (6fr) A#m|C#m|

to get the blood pumping in my veins again           |A#sus4 (6fr) A#m|C#m|

to get the blood pumping in my veins again           |A#sus4 (6fr) A#m|C#m|

It sounds somewhat correct to me so far, but I could just be tone deaf. I know the frst "Sometimes when..." chords are a bit off. The voicing on the A#m sounded better on 6th fret than the first, but I guess its all up to you

Took a break from More Therapy and started on Slow Days:

Something like Cadd9 and then

Here's To the Sour Beat. I feel like this one is pretty much dead on, though some of the chords can be replaced with fifths, such as the Dsus2 with the F in the base. I think A D5 will do for that as well.

Code:
Holy Sons - To the Sour Beat

Here's Saccharine Trust, the fills at the end of the chorus aren't tabbed, but they aren't too hard to figure out.

If you take a look at the thread I started I have all the chords written out.
It's a very interesting song harmonically, root movement is mostly chromatic, quality of chords changed from their diatonic framework ect.

I doubt that most are interested in a through harmonic analysis but I'd be happy to do so, or for any holy sons tune.

Ps. I've got "blow to the head" ready to go but that one is a bit different and would almost be easier to make a video showing how I play it (I play a few things different from the recording as I keep it in standard tuning whereas Emil is in something different).

Does this statement apply to Grails and Holy Sons?

this is how I play the main riff in Dead Vine Blues.

Code:
drop d and down a whole step

   main biz
d------------------------------------
a--8----8---6------6---------------
f-----7----------7-----5h77-7--7----
c---0-----0----0-----0-------0------
g------------------------------------
c-----------------------------------

-----------------------------------------
-11-------11---10-------10--------------
-------10------------10------10h12-12\7---
-----0-------0-----0-------0-------------
-----------------------------------------
------------------------------------------

maybe the bass riff later in the song
-----------0h1h2-----------
--3--0----0------0---------

I feel this song in my gut every time I listen to it.
I haven't figured out all of the lead parts yet, but this is basically how I play the main riff and ending. Pretty simple, just listen for timing. Standard tuning. Enjoy.

Code:
---------------|------------------------------|-ending----------------------------
------2x-------|------------------------------|-----------------------------------
---------------|------------------------------|-4-6-7-4-6-7-etc-3-4-6-3-4-6-etc---
---------------|------------------------------|-----------------------------------

Emil's strat that he has been touring with is dope! Really dug his guitar playing on the most recent tour. I've wanted a strat style guitar for a while and Emil made me want one even more. Of course I checked out his pedal board and amp but I forget everything besides the strat and tele that he brought out for one song.

Hey !

Has anyone been able to work out ' I Can't Cross the Street'?
It seems like a pretty simple song but I'm horrible at tabbing songs by myself.

Any help would be great.
