Awesome job dude. I haven't played through all your transcriptions yet, but I disagree with the C- that you notated in "bed of nails ll"

What I hear, and see him playing in the vimeo video is Cmaj7 voiced 1 5 7 3 (c g b e) then when he plays the A-7 you can hear and see that he will sometimes add in a C root after letting the A-7 ring out a bit (as I think you noted in your transcription) What do you think/hear?

"Supraharmony"

Guitar tuning = drop D

Here's how I play the opening melody. I believe on the record one guitar plays the melody while another is playing a chord behind it. It would seem this would be the case as you can hear the separation when the melody is repeated again up an octave. Also, during the chorus the other guitar is playing fuller chords instead of 5ths, and guitar 2 may or may not be in drop D. Anyway I love this song and don't think it gets enough attention, so here's my way of playing it on one geeeeetar.

E
B
G--------1--2
D---4---------3----3-3-3-3-3-3
A-------------------0-0-0-0-0-0
D-4---4------------4-4-4-4-4-4

-----G#5-------------------------------------------B5-----------------G5------------------------------G#5
Nose bleeds of course the existential needs no congruency in its age a-rhythm-a-cuz you was all out
---------------------------------------B5------------G5------------------------------G#5-------------------
of empathy for other aspects cold sexpectation rules the schools I got kicked out into the street, I'm
------------------------------F#5-----------------------------B5----------A#5-----------D5----------------
warming myself now from Apollo's Heights... refuse the reasons to fight with the psychically poor,,
-----------------------F#5-------------------------------------------------D5-------------------------------
violence immense,, intelligence reigns but not from behind clouds,, crowds believe! 'God's beyond good and evil' -
(play melody again, on the recording its up an octave this time)
{Ease my eyes with understanding-and-a-ding-cop}

D5---------------------------A------------------
Supraharmony unseen by single sets of eyes..
D---------------------------------------------A--------------------G5
Harmony and progress un-understood by those who valuate single modes of being
D------------------------------------------------------F#5
Thought is much bigger,, and scopes are wide to embrace any challenge you choose to face -
-----------------C#5---G#5-------------------------------C#5--G#5------------------------------------B5
I found out the brain combines infinite fights with the finite desires and confessions light up my forest
D5
fires...
-------C#5-------G#5----B5---------G#5 (repeat this progression ending on B5)
..now if you fall prey to unfocused eyes and unstudied fate,, just concentrate,, know what you need..
..yr own truth unfolds with patience... old traits remain thru calamity you'll see if you hold on...
{knowing and knowing and on and on}

There you go. I love transcribing but hate "tabbing" stuff, for more than one reason (not the least of which is lack of information, notably, rhythm!!!). I might start writing these out and then scanning them simply because the times I've posted any tab on the net it always comes out fucked up rhythmically on forums because I cant just write the chords and use a bunch of spaces, the chords end up right next to each other hence me using - to space them. I thought this was because I was posting off a blackberry but it happens on another forum and when I post from my laptop too.
Just listen to the recording and it should be easy to get this down.

IMPORTANT: the names of the chords that are 5ths (the so called power chord) are in relation to the frets on a guitar, NOT what the actual chords are due to the low E being dropped down. The only exception to this is when you see D5, just play the open D (that you have dropped down from E),
A and D strings.

Does anyone have that recording of "bed of nails" that Emil played on a radio interview? It was on here at some point but appears to be deleted. I know it's on the re-release of "...warm coals" and it's great, but there was some nice stuff on the solo acoustic version I wanna transcribe.

Agreed with that change, thanks the update.

Also, finally a supraharmony, I've been trying to get that one forever.

Cool man. I'm happy were on the same page with "Bed on Nails II"
And yeah, supraharmony is one of my faves.

I think, as far as transcribers for holysons tunes go, its probably just you and I, hah.
Would you want to transcribe a full record together? I've been doing a lot of tunes off "...warm coals"
I'll try to get some up today.

Also, do you (or anyone reading this) have that recording I mentioned? the radio interview Emil did where he plays "Bed of Nails"? as I said before there was some really nice stuff he played on that solo version and really wanna transcribe it.

I'd be down for that, although I'm not certain how much I can contribute. I just fiddle around, no real theoretical training, but I'll do my best.

I had a bit of Dont Boil Me done, but in a non-standard tuning. I'll have to try and figure it out again.

I re-uploaded the complete acoustic radio sessions in this discography thread here as "2011 Acoustic Radio Sessions". Feel free to share it around so the link can stay active, these are some great songs/versions.
